The aim of this module is for students to acquire a rudimentary knowledge about the Korean language, including the alphabets (consonants/vowels), a limited number of Korean words and the basic grammatical rules. Students also learn to read, speak and write simple sentences in relation to daily life in a social setting. Students are encouraged to actively participate in interactive activities in class tutorials. At the end of the semester, students are expected to have acquired simple social/communicative skills in Korean.
