This module discusses about the meaning of governance, the relationship between the state, market and civil society, governance systems and good governance.  Students are able to explore how Asian countries build effective, clean and responsible governments. The objective of this module is to develop students’ capacity to conceptualize major governance issues, the challenge of globalization and the quest for good governance in selected Asian countries so as to devise strategies for addressing them with a series of analytical case discussions.
