This module explores some of the historical, theoretical, and empirical foundations of the discipline of psychology. The module examines psychology in the Asian context, with a special discussion on Chinese Psychology throughout the module. This module introduces different schools of thoughts in Asian Psychology, and various topics including culture, personality, cognition, social influence, family and parenting styles, and psychopathology in Asian cultures.
